Meet Bendricks, an exciting new band hailing from Barry, Wales. Making waves far beyond their hometown. Since hitting the road in January 2024, they have been building a reputation for electrifying live shows, selling out gigs from Cardiff to London.

Their debut single, Listerine marked the start of a bold new chapter and every release to date has been agnostic of genre and masterfully created. Produced by the legendary Matt Butler, they are a band that sound different to any other and draw you in with introspective lyrics and catchy riffs.

Fueled by raw energy, tight musicianship, and a dream as big as their sound, Bendricks is a band on the rise and ones to watch for the near future.

HOW DOES IT FEEL TO HAVE YOUR LATEST SINGLE OUT IN THE WORLD

"It feels great, we wrote the song a year ago and it was recorded summer last year, so we have been sat on it for a while, and it is nice to finally get it out there."

CAN YOU TELL US MORE ABOUT THE LATEST SINGLE

"It has multiple inspirations, the way we write songs is through ideas and collaboration. Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, Red Hot Chili Peppers that sort of stuff but our music just rolls out into the song rather than any inspiration behind it. This song is philosophical, doesn't mean anything more than that really, it is just an idea and a question of if there is a god then he should let me know. It has built up over time from the main riff, the melodies come later so it is a long period of time that it is built up over."

ARE THERE PLANS TO RELEASE AN EP OR ALBUM

"We aren't too sure at the moment; we have some tracks recorded ready to go, what we do with that is the next question, we are just releasing them one by one but there will probably be an EP sort of end of summer which might be just a physical copy, and we will also be working on our debut album around that time too. What we do know is that we will be releasing a lot of music and that is not going to stop, it is nice to release them as individual singles to build up the fanbase.

DO YOU GET MUCH TIME TO PRACTISE TOGETHER

"We are usually together at least once a week; it depends on what the mission is in that moment, and we also meet online which is handy. Behind closed doors we will work of stuff and send ideas to each other all the time, but it is nice to get together when we can for the finished project."

WHAT WAS IT LIKE HEADLINING IN CLWB IFOR BACH

"Our first headline in Clwb we sold out actually for our first single release which was a wicked response, and we have played there a few times since, each one has been such a great turnout. We are also looking forward to playing in other venues across Wales, including Swansea supporting The Stray Pursuit."

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE

"We want to take this band as far as possible; we want to be able to make a living out of it, I will be happy as long as I can do this full time. There is no end, in five years' time I want to be playing the Pyramid Stage and do a world tour."
